About the Artist

I am the mother of 4 kiddos in their teenage years. My husband and I have been married for over 20 years. He is my biggest cheerleader, is always trying to push me to achieve more than I think is possible, and is the driving force behind starting this website (something about a website makes it all official and terrifying).  

We have had the privilege of parenting a heart baby, who has had 3 open heart surgeries, and all the joys and heartache that come with that.

Our oldest daughter became interested in beekeeping at the age of 10, and at 12 was awarded a scholarship through the local beekeeping association. During a conference, she chose to attend a breakout session that included a demonstration on how to make soap. I was instantly hooked. She and I attended a coupIe more classes and I made my first few batches of soap (out of my kitchen) that winter as gifts for family at Christmas. Our family enjoyed them, and I loved the creative process of making soap. My husband would say this is when it spiraled out of control! 

I have always been a crafter at heart…sewing, baking, canning, card making, Cricut projects, t-shirts, etc. So, designing/creating soap was a natural fit. I love that I am only limited to my own imagination. I have grown from those first batches to now including animal and plant milks, vegetable purees, oatmeal, sea salt, pumice, and walnut shells. As well as making soap in the shape of cupcakes and expanding to add lotions, balms, essential oil shower steamers, and other bath products. Six years later, I now have a dedicated “soap studio” that has taken over 2/3 of the basement, and grows with every supply order!
